Daily Timers are the timers that have a real time clock in built. Hence, you can set the actual clock time at which you want your load to turn ON and OFF. The daily times have a 4 digit led display that always indicate the current clock time. There will be a battery inside to keep the clock running even in case of a power failure. The daily timers offer a provision to set up-to 8 different ON and OFF timings for the load. The user can choose the number of times it has to be set up. The provision is also given to adjust the system clock. The daily timers are available for all types of motor starters and lighting loads.

The daily timers find various applications in agriculture and domestic sector.
1) Street light timers:
This is a widely used application. The timer can be set to turn ON the lights at a particular time in the evening and turn OFF the lights at a particular time in the morning. Widely used by the governing bodies for the street lighting purpose.
2) Basic light timers for domestic and industrial applications:
There are applications that require the lighting load to be turned ON automatically for some time in the evening every single day without human intervention. This can be achieved using daily timers.
3) Turning ON the water heaters or any other load for a specific time everyday:
The applications that require any particular load to be turned ON for a specific time interval everyday can be achieved by daily timers. Daily timers are available for different load capacities.
4) In conditions where the availability of water in the bore well is low:
There are many conditions where the ground water table is low and the motor once turned ON can pump the water only for a specific time and then it goes dry. However, if the motor is not turned ON for sometime after this, the water table gets recharged and again the bore well motor can be run for some more time. Here, daily timers can be used to set the ON duration time for few minutes lesser than it would take for the pump to go dry and the next ON duration after the approximate recharge time. By doing this, the available water can be effectively utilized without the danger of motor failing due to dry run.
5) In conditions where there is excess water and it is sufficient if the motor is run only for a specific time:
There are applications where in the water source is very good and one needs to run the motor only for a specific time interval to avoid the excess watering. Daily timers come in handy in these applications where the user can set the ON time as the time for which watering should take place. Hence, one can make sure there will not be excess watering to the crops.
6) Misting Systems for Poultry:
Poultries will have the fogging systems in place to maintain the necessary room temperature. These foggers are usually turned ON for a short interval during the summers to maintains the necessary room temperature and hence not allowing the temperatures to excess a certain range which will cause damage to the livestock.
